In the seven years that Rachelle Broad has managed the Perth-Andover Irving Mainway, the store has evolved into much more than just a gas station.
Under Rachelle`s dedicated and personable management it has become a gathering place and community center. Stop in early any morning and you will find a collection of local contractors and businessmen gathered at the little snack bar doing business and catching up on the latest news and community scuttlebutt.
Rachelle says she even gets phone calls from wives looking for their hubbies to ask them to bring something home from the store! Now that`s small town trust and hospitality!

The Mainway is much more like an old fashioned general store than a new fangled convenience outlet.
Rachelle is committed to helping the prosperity and growth of the Perth-Andover business community and has been involved in many shop local events.
She also has a terrific team of staff to help her run the place. She recently honoured two employees for sticking with her through thick and thin for the past five years.

April Finnamore and Marilyn Tupper have just celebrated their five year anniversaries at the store. Rachelle says she really couldn`t have done it without her staff, and for putting up with her for five years Marilyn and April especially deserve medals!
Instead of medals, however, Rachelle had custom embroidered jackets made for the pair to commemorate their service.

The Perth Mainway has a nifty collection of gift items and cards in addition to the usual convenience store supplies.
The store also carries a selection of books, including the wonderful natural history books of Sussex author and historian Gerry Parker. These books are detailed histories of sport and adventure in early New Brunswick, and are lavishly illustrated and chock full of meticulously researched information. These books make wonderful gifts for people interested in the history of our province…. or as a treat for yourself.

The store also carries the latest DVD movie releases, which is a boon since Boardwalk Video was washed away in the flood. And you can rent two videos for the price of one Monday-Wednesday.
Stop in soon to say hello, grab a coffee and catch up on the latest gossip!
