Music Instructor Emmanuel Ortega plays the piano as the entire student choir performs “The Green Grass Grew All Around”The Mah Sos Talent Show for 2014 took place in the school gym on May 22nd. Dozens of parents, friends, family members and general well- wishers gathered to hear this spirited performance, which was the last big concert of the year before school lets out for the summer.
The program opened with a rousing rendition of “Oh Canada” sung by Grades 4-5. The students went on to sing both Maliseet and English songs, in addition to playing ensemble instrumental pieces.
The final musical concert of the year will be on June 5th during Culture Day when the kids perform more Maliseet songs with drums and cellos.
