The Look-One Stop Department & Bridal Store
Spotlight on a Local Business!
The Look-One Stop has just added some great new clothing lines to store inventory. Cindy and Dayna McLaughlin attended wholesalers conventions recently in Las Vegas and Moncton to check out new products for their store.
Cindy is pleased to now be carrying a line of men’s dress and tux suits from Haggar. She is working with Haggar rep Evan, who used to supply Percy Inman with Haggar clothing.
The tux suits have arrived just in time for prom season. You can purchase one of these great looking suits for the same amount of money that you’d spend to rent a tux.
There are ties, vests and cummerbunds in stock as well, stop in at The Look and you’ll walk out a Sharp Dressed Man!
One local mom was excited to buy her son’s prom suit rather than rent one for this year…she noted to Cindy that now her son would have a suit to wear for other occasions as well.
These suits are available in all sizes, and seamstress Laney Sullivan is available at the store to make any needed alterations.
You never know when you’ll need a good suit to wear…
Speaking of proms, The Look has 200 beautiful prom dresses in stock. Some 90 percent of the John Caldwell students from Grand Falls have bought their prom dresses from The Look this year.
Right now, prom and bridal dresses at The Look are 25 percent off, and there is no duty or premium, unlike dresses purchased across the border.
Many brides come to The Look from out of town to purchase their bridal gowns. There are 100 gorgeous gowns on display in the store right now. Recently, one young woman and her mother traveled from Fredericton to look for a bridal gown for the daughter. She found a gown she loved, and her mom found the perfect mother of the bride dress.
While Cindy and Dayna were in Las Vegas they purchased a new line of clothing from a Canadian Company, NOIZE, that makes stylish outerwear. Stop in to check out this new stock! There are also new styles just in from Tan Jay and Alia for ladies, as well as new men’s work wear.
Cindy has made plans to load all inventory into a transport to keep it safe during flood alert week, and will move it back after it is safe to do so. She’ll be bringing in a line of small home appliances such as coffee makers and toasters to make The Look an all-round department store, open 6 days a week and Sundays by appointment.
After flood season is over, look for Cindy’s New To You store to open in the old Pizza Pit at the end of town.
This will be a consignment store where you can sell your gently used clothing and small appliances. The store will take just a 20 percent commission….you can recycle your stuff and we can all save money and support local by shopping here!
