Perth-Andover Business Connection
The Perth-Andover Business Connection is a local business support group begun that was organized in 2012. We now have some 35 local business members, and are looking for new members to bring new voices and ideas to our local business dialog.
A meeting and wine and cheese social was just held on February 12 at the Perth Elks Club. Dan Dionne gave a presentation detailing local economic development initiatives, and we met Melanie Clark, who is the new Economic Development Officer for our region.
She gave us the run down on many programs and help that is available for businesses and entrepreneurs in our area. You can contact her personally at Melani.Clark@gnb.ca or call 506-325-4857 for more information.
It was a great opportunity to connect with and discuss issues with other fellow business people in the village. Guest speakers on a variety of topics will make presentations at upcoming meetings, so stay tuned for further details!
Cindy McLaughlin attended the meeting and shared her exciting plans for the old Pizza Pit. This property has gone through a number of metamorphoses, and in its next incarnation will be born again as a New To You Consignment Shop!
Cindy plans to have this open for business by the end of March 2014, and it will provide a couple of local jobs as well as a venue for folks to sell their gently used clothing, jewelry, shoes, small appliances and furniture. You simply set a reasonable price on your stuff and the store will take a 20 percent commission.

Together we can rebuild our business community!
