Merry Christmas
From that very first Christmas
Peace On Earth was the plan
Now look at the troubles
That are coming to man,
So sad situations
Climate cul-de-sac
Revolution and ruin
Life under attack,
We find all around us
Everything seems a mess
Greed grabbing monsters
Who couldn’t care less,
Old standards are changing
Amidst many sobs
While fossil-fuel dragons
Keep gobbling in gobs,
But yet, “Merry Christmas!”
Is still here to find
The Word, and the Promise
For all of mankind,
And yes, “Merry Christmas!”
Peace On Earth, still the plan
The planet’s survival
The salvation of man,
So sing, “Merry Christmas!”
As the prophets foretold
The Star and the Magi
On that night long ago,
And don’t be discouraged
Everything will work out
Be faithful and true
And never show doubt,
Celebrate, “Merry Christmas!”
His plain manger birth
Good will to all people
And to all – Peace On Earth,
Praise Him, “Merry Christmas!”
His love and His grace
And shout, “Merry Christmas!”
Enfold … and embrace!
