The shelter currently has a number of cats in residence that need loving homes.
During the months of August and September the SPCA is lowering their usual adoption fee of $100 to $75.
This fee includes all needles and your new pet will be spayed or neutered. If you are looking for a new kitty for your home adopting one of these cats will cost you far less than making and paying for trips to the vet yourself.
Winter is coming, and there are still a whole lot of homeless cats out there waiting for shelter, so the pet you adopt from the SPCA will make room for new cats.
The shelter does not currently house any dogs, but if you are looking for a new pooch they will be happy to connect you with a dog in a foster home that needs a fur-ever home.
If you love yard sales and good bargains, be sure to check out the SPCA Yard Sale Shop at the former Blue Mountain Pharmacy building at 252 Main Street in Plaster Rock.
The shop is open Fridays & Saturdays 9 am– 3 pm. You can find great deals in the shop, and, if you have any items to donate to the cause to help homeless pets please drop them off at the shop when they are open.
As always, the shelter can use donations of cat food, litter, cleaning supplies and cash!
Donations are tax deductible. And volunteers are always needed to help love and care for the animals. Even an hour or two a week would be great!
