People are rejecting GMO…
People and whole countries all around the world are rejecting genetically modified foods but Monsanto and other chemical corporations are still frantically scrambling to pollute the planet with their pesticides, herbicides and GMO seeds.
The latest story to come out is their deranged plan to create a variety of GMO cabbage combined with (brace yourself!) scorpion venom!!!
Because scorpion venom is poisonous to insects, see, so therefore this cabbage will kill cabbage loving pests.
Or so the theory goes in their demented minds.
As it happens, right now pesticide use is skyrocketing across the mid-western corn belt in the USA. Biotech companies have seen their pesticide sales spike by 50 to 100 percent over the last 2 years.
The reason for this is Bt corn, a GMO variety that has pesticide built into its genes. Insects have developed resistance to the poison in the corn and have decimated entire fields, causing the farmers to dump yet more poison onto their crops.
Farmers were sold on this supposedly pest resistant corn, and now about 80 percent of the corn grown in North America is genetically modified.
This is the corn that is fed to animals and made into corn products for human consumption like chips and high fructose corn syrup.
So, even if you avoid Doritos and soda pop, if you are eating meat or chicken from the store you are still getting poisoned by the Bt insecticide.
Poisoning the planet like this has a ripple effect across the entire eco-system, polluting waterways and as the poisons wash into the Mississippi River they flow into the Gulf of Mexico, creating a huge dead zone.
Bee colony collapse syndrome is happening all around the world, and a world without bees to pollinate the plants is a world without crops. And a world without crops will be a world without people in about four years, according to Albert Einstein.
It is interesting, don’t you think, that the government in the UK has banned genetically modified food from being served in its parliamentary restaurants while the politicians enthusiastically endorse GMO crops for the commoners?
This hypocrisy is universal….the elites eat organic but push GMO on the rest of us for profit.
If you want to avoid GMO food you have to avoid just about 80 percent of all prepared foods available at our supermarkets!
We have a link posted on our facebook page that provides a huge list of GMO foods, but in brief, if the package or can of food you are buying contains soy, corn or canola and does not specifically say it is organic it contains GMO products.
To stop this GMO madness we need to not support the madmen pushing it….buy organic and local whenever possible!
