WE’RE ALL DUNROAMIN’
ROGER
Have you heard about Roger? He’s the old tom recently rescued and brought to DunRoamin’. His face is scratched and scarred. He has one cauliflower ear. His coat was dirty and brittle. His tail is stubby and bent. His body has scars from repeated fights and injuries. His muscles are stringy and strong. He’s a warrior who has fought for survival for his entire life. Until now.
Now he can let go of the constant vigilance that has been his entire life. He is no longer stressed by the weather or the demands of hunting for food. He knows from whence his next meal will come. He luxuriates in the soft warm beds that are provided for him. He welcomes his friends daily and trusts that they have his well-being in mind. He gives back the love and attention that he receives. Although he may not have the sleek elegance that is present in so many of the DunRoamin’ cats awaiting adoption, he has many attributes that make him a great potential adoptee.
I have made a list of his attributes and positive reasons to adopt him:
- He is user friendly and very interactive;
- He is quite cheeky, in a tom-cat sort of way;
- He is 100% nut free;
- He’s always up for a pawty;
- Adopting him saves two lives — his and the one he makes room for;
- He’s no longer a fan of Sex and the Kitty;
- He’s a catalyst for good will;
- He’s adult but not yet a senior Kitizen;
- He’s a purfect gentleman;
- Treated well, he is very unlikely to mewtiny; and
- He has experience in Claw Enforcement.
Think about it. He’ll be a great room mate — and he may do light mousework, too!
