Carousel
Time’s your ticket
And life’s your chance
On a carousel
Where the ponies prance,
A merry-go-round
At ‘Livings Fair’
White-horse of wisdom
Dark-horse of despair,
An indigo bridle
Let’s you do as you dare
A stampeding stallion
A mild-mannered mare,
A Blue-horse called love
A Gray-horse called age
A Red-horse called hate
And one Purple called rage,
Palatial pleasure
Then – fubadub
A galloping gait
Round axle’s hub,
High in the saddle
“Let ‘er all rip agin!”
Comes a weft whirligig
That you just can’t rein in,
Pirouette – “Giddy-up!”
Don’t get dizzy – hang tight
Wild wind whipping your hair
As you race all your might,
You march to events
Stay ahead of the hound
A’straddle your steed
You bounce and you bound,
A merry-go-round
Ride queasy – run well
Rose-horse called Heaven
Black-horse called hell,
Time’s your ticket
And life’s what matters
But – if you fall off
The carousel shatters!
