Love Story
He visited the Arthurette SPCA and found these three wonderful fur companions to adopt.
Tootsie and Maggie are a mother and daughter pair of lovely, friendly, fluffy dogs. They ended up in the shelter together, their history is vague. They were French speaking dogs, however! They were very well mannered and obedient, but only responded to instructions spoken in French. They merely looked confused at any requests spoken in English….they wanted to understand, though, and so now they are pretty much bi-lingual!
At the same time Lukus met Tootsie and Maggie, a handsome and regal tabby cat was also at the shelter, awaiting his chance to go to a forever home.
Luke took the cat, whom he named Ransford, home with him. He had to wait a few days to adopt the girls, as they had not yet been spayed.
Once the girls came home they moved right in with Lukus and Ransford, and have been a family ever since. Even if their English is still a little patchy, Tootsie and Maggie are two of the nicest and friendliest pups you’ll ever meet.
Ransford the cat is a mellow fellow. It’s always amazing how well animals adapt when they go from homelessness to having a family…they never harbor any grudges against humanity, they simply live in the now moment. A lesson we could all take to heart!
