Young Entrepreneurs Make a Hit with Cold Tea on a Hot Day!

Stephanie Kelley
As I was making my way down to Bodin’s Native Crafts at Tobique First Nation to deliver copies of the Blackfly I passed by new business…. A cold drink stand being operated by a trio of cheerful and youthful entrepreneurs.

Cars were zipping in right and left as I drove by , so I waited till I was on my way back to meet the young businesswomen at the stand.

Jenni Greaves and Timmy Nicholas stopped for a tall and refreshing cup of iced tea to cool off on a hot day!

As I pulled up all, all three promptly offered me a choice of either raspberry flavoured or plain iced tea.

They weren’t charging for the tea, but were accepting tips and this was working out just great…. Everyone they served left a generous tip for the girls!

Lily, Treasure and Emily told me this was the first stand they’d opened this year, and that they planned to do this one day a week all through the summer.

Keep an eye out for the Iced Tea Stand on the Main Road heading down into the community, and take a pause to refresh yourself!
