Southern Victoria High School hosted the JV Valhalla Basketball Tournament on January 2nd and 3rd.
The Woodstock Thunder Senior Exhibition Team took the Championship Banner, but the JV Vikings were thrilled to come away with the second place trophy after a valiantly played 3 game series.

A crowd of family, friends and fans watched the third and final game of the series as the players battled up and down the court.
There were some amazing shots made…. Thunder player Jonah Paul-Fontaine had the magic touch when it came to sinking 3 point baskets!

At the end of the series Thunder team member Patrick Smith was designated MVP for the tournament, Austin Price was Tournament All-Star, and Brody Giberson was designated Player of the Game for the Woodstock Thunder.

Cole Wright was Tournament All-Star and Tyson Kelley was named Player of the Game for the SV Vikings.

As with all of our community services programs, school sports teams need volunteer coaches at all levels. You don’t need experience to volunteer…just a desire to help kids play their best!
