The 6th Annual Larlee Creek Hullabaloo got off to a rain drenched start on Friday afternoon but fortunately for all music lovers Ma Nature decided to smile on the festival after all…. The clouds finally parted and sun broke out creating a beautiful double rainbow just as the first show kicked off at 7 pm.
What a perfect way to start this fabulous weekend festival of music, fun and friends!
And, continuing to grant her favours, nature further blessed the event with absolutely ideal weather on the following Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday is the big day for the festival, with shows starting at 2 pm in the afternoon and running until the wee hours of the morning. The sun shone brilliantly all day, with just a mild cool breeze in the air that kept the perennial flies at bay and made the day perfect for an outdoor event.
Of course, this being NB and all, after the sun went down it was time to change from tank tops and shorts into long johns and parkas!
This year, this kid and family friendly music festival was one of the busiest yet.
Kudos go to Hullabaloo Chairperson Heidi Baird for having this dream for her community, and the fortitude and determination to organize it every year, and to all the volunteers, performers, sponsors, vendors and most importantly the fans who all make this happen.
The Maritime Provinces have a rich history of music and the Hullabaloo brings in artists from all over the Maritimes to celebrate our culture.
Investing in our own history, culture and artisans is going to prove to be one of the very best ways to revitalize our economy and communities!
The first act of Friday night was a duo from the group Blue Flower Coventry. They were absolutely wonderful, and Jess Favaro, the vocalist, introduced herself and explained how she had come to make music her career.
Realizing that she had a terrific voice and a passion for music her father told her to quit her job and follow her dream!
This beautiful story illustrates what the heart and soul of our Maritime Music Heritage is all about, and why our support is so vital for music and art in all our communities.
Our kids…well everyone, actually…should have a future in their home towns if they wish, following their creativity and dreams instead of having to leave town looking for work someplace else.
Living the life you dream instead of slaving in someone else’s nightmare is the life we all deserve!
The Larlee Creek Hullablaoo will be back next year for its 7th annual festival and will be even bigger and better than ever! Mark your calendars now…
