Doug and Sheila McKinley, along with their son Logan and daughter Cheyanne, operate Cellar Dweller Crafts out of their home in Rowena.
Doug makes a wide variety of wood crafts, shelves and wooden ornaments and takes custom orders.
Sheila, who is the Art Instructor at Southern Victoria High School, paints with acrylics and makes beautiful bead work dream catchers and jewelry, including earrings and pendants.

I met Doug at the Pond Hockey Tournament, and was struck by the wide array of terrific little wooden ornaments he had on display. He has crafted about 170 different wooden ornaments ….nice to give as little hand made gifts or to decorate your Christmas tree with…..much nicer than meaningless stuff made in China!

He says that he and Sheila’s kids grew up watching their parents and so began helping to make the crafts, learning as they grew how to handle tools, string beads and paint.
They now make some of the Cellar Dweller Crafts themselves.

The McKinleys set up displays at shows and farm markets throughout the season, or you can give them a call to learn more or order custom wood work or bead work.
