I’m Not Strange

I’m Not Strange

If there’s no such thing as ocelots
Okapi stripes or zebra stops
Garlic breath is oh so sweet
Onion pie just can’t be beat,
Kiss a frog won’t make a Prince
Dirty diapers make men winch
Chocolate ain’t a maker-upper
Nuisance calls don’t come at supper,
Dolly Parton’s bust is real
First base you don’t have to steal
Marbles an Olympic game
Grizzly bears are always tame,
George Jones showed at every gig
No pink elephant or flying pig
Nonsense isn’t ever fun
Kids don’t crawl before they run,
No such place as Candy Street
Sneakers don’t cause smelly feet
Ghosts and ghouls are never scary
Christmas comes in January,
Loves not best beneath the moon
The plate didn’t run off with the spoon
Spiders don’t spin spider webs
The tide don’t rise before it ebbs,
It all means that I’m not strange
That my views aren’t out of range
I still recognize the norm
There’s no such thing as … true to form!
