Local River Valley Scotiabank branch managers gathered in the Perth-Andover Scotiabank on January 18 th to present River Valley Autism with a cheque for $3,000.
Each year Scotiabank picks two charities to support and then raises funds in a variety of creative ways….from bake sale to book sales to silent auctions to barbecues.

I myself always check out the used book table when I go to the bank…. You never know what kind of interesting books will turn up in that collection!

Tina Lockhart accepted the cheque on behalf of River Valley Autism. Mike Allen from Perth-Andover, Carol Weston from Woodstock, Tammy Finnamore from Hartland and Roger Whelan from the Florenceville-Bristol branches of the banks handed the check to Tina.
Tina actually got two cheques…. A big one for the photo op and the real one that was promptly deposited to the account!
Earlier, Scotiabank had donated $4,000 to Parkinson’s Disease Research.
The next time you visit the bank, pick out a book or two or make a bid in the next silent auction.
Be generous….. Your money will go to a good cause!
